ABOUT THE AUTHOR

P.D. Quaver

After enjoying a long career as a professional pianist, the author, writing under the pen name "P.D. Quaver,” is now semi-retired. Always a voracious and omnivorous reader, he has spent the last decade pursuing a life dream by reinventing himself as a novelist. The result is "Unplugged," a stand-alone Young Adult novel, and a nine volume series of historical novels. Entitled "The Ordeals of Elly Robin," they recount the adventures of a young musical prodigy, orphaned by the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, and cast adrift upon the world.

Something of a Luddite, Quaver has managed to resist the siren attractions of the internet, and — with no social footprint whatsoever — has elected to preserve his anonymity on this website. Nevertheless, he looks forward to communing with his fellow readers, and sharing thoughts about his lifetime love affairs with music and literature.
